M3: DESCRIBE LEGAL AND ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH REGULATORY BODIES FOR AN ORIGINAL RADIO PROGRAMME
Some of the things I will need to consider legally is slander and deformation of character. There could be some issues in the department if I am being overly negative towards a certain groups of people or of business. To avoid being sued I will aim to not mention businesses by name or be overly aggressive when talking about people or groups of people, this is easily done by changing their name slightly or showing a fair and equal argument and being unbiased.
As I am going to being including music in my piece I will need to make sure that I am paying royalties or only 30 second of the recording so that i am not liable for ppl. Which means that i will not have to pay royalties and such.
My program will need to follow the BBC’s codes of conduct put in places that I do not offend people. I will also look on the ofcom website to see what I can and can't include on my radio program. So that I am not reported, sued or that my program is not pulled down. To make sure I avoid these I will make sure that I do not harm of offend, mention religion in a negative or cohesive way, and I will show a fair argument.
