P3: Create a production plan for audio-visual content using special effects
P4: Incorporate visual effect ideas into the production plan
Running time
The piece I have chosen to make is an information video on anxiety. It will show what it’s like for someone who’s having an anxiety attack and why it happens. The estimated time period for my piece will be around 5 minutes long.
What I intend to make
My piece is about Anxiety attacks. In my video a young boy sits in a class room and with is best friend. The boy (CARL) says something embarrassing and the teacher (MR DWOIGHT) makes an example of CARL and ridicules him in front of the class. This causes CARL to have an anxiety attack. He starts to breath heavily and sweat, the sweat is my visual effect. None of the class notices that he is freaking out apart form his best friend. He begins to hear everything louder and he starts to shrink as the class gets bigger
Target audience
My piece appeals to people of all genders, most likely girls. It is targeted at people aged 12 to 25 because this is the age when people are more susceptible to mental illness. This piece has no specific race or job orientation, however stereotypes show that is would be most likely aimed at white people or those that like in big cities and are privileged. As this piece is aimed at teenagers and young adults the audience is most likely to be interested in music, going out, being with friends or people who are developed in fantasy worlds. However the target audience will feel uncomfortable when under pressure, in social situations or when having to present something to a large group of people. With this in mind my short film is not aimed at these stereotypes as it is an informational video therefore it is aimed at all people. This will appeal to the target market as they will be able to relate to people with anxiety or because the know someone suffering and it can better their awareness of how, why and when these attacks happen.
Planning visual and Special effects
Sweat — Get the actor to go for a jog or jog on the sport till they are slightly read in the face, then use a pipette to create a single drop of sweat falling down the face. Sinking effect — 1) shoot the actor in the position wanted (classroom) 2) then shoot the same shot with out the actor. FOR 1 MINUTE!! (classroom) 3) then shoot the actor in the same position against the green screen 4) the the studio merge the shot of the actor and the shot of the classroom, without him, and apply the effect.
Script
I am planning to be creating a thinking visual effect where int the script it reads, "his body starts to shrink..."
In addition I am going to be adding a special effect where it reads, "his breaths get louder and louder"
Storyboard
Recces
My location of choice is the classroom C15 in Netherhall School and Sixth Form Centre. I have chosen this location because it is easy for me to access and helps to show that these attacks happen to young people and that they need hep so they can prevent it from happening in their adult life. To film won this location I need permission as I am not the owner. If I do not agin permission if the owner doesn’t respond to my email I will send a follow up email letting them know when I will be filming on location.

Budget plan
Budget plan for a low budget special effects sequence:
Through out my production I will be needing range of items and props. For example I will need to pay for a pipette and water to allow me to do the special effect, to employ actors and crew members to help me with my production, and the equipment its self. This can all be quite pricey.
Budget plan for my special effects sequence:
However as I attend a college we have the facilities in which to film, the equipment and I can was my friends to act in my product. My actors and crew member are willing to work for free so there will be no cost there. When I first joined the college I payed a £20 fee enabling me access to all recourse in the school. I will borrow a pipette form the science lab and use water from a tap.

Unfortunately the location owner did not reply. This meant that I had to send a secondary email -
