P3: DEVELOP CONCEPT IDEAS AND SEQUENCE FOR AN ANIMATION TO MEET A CLIENT BRIEF
Concept ideas:
The characters and environments I have chosen would be suitable for line drawing animation and hopefully I will be able to execute this with accuracy
Environment concept:

Final Story Concept:
The final story will be a line drawing about society and fears at school (see concept 1). The main idea of my piece is that it will be like a bad dream that the kid is having, with monster in classrooms and a peaceful paradise outside. it will have lots of different sounds like foot seats and, bird chirping and animal roars with will be made in Foley and used with permission from royalty free sights. This appeals to the target audience as they also feel these anxieties in school or college therefore they will be able to relate to the piece and its narrative.
TARGET AUDIENCE AND RUNNING TIME: My target audience is teenagers, more specifically 14 - 18 year olds, this being my target audience it will evict my running time. I am hoping that my animation will be 1.30 mins. This is good because my audience has a short attending span and are used to short snappy things.
An example that show that my target audience can’t concentrate for to long is vines, which are 6 seconds, youtube videos which on average last around 5 mins to keep their audience hooked. The modern era is very fast pace, take social media for example, all post are quickly overlooked in fact posts barely look at unless it's got a cute picture attached or a funny video. Twitter is a prime example of the of this. For example Twitter has a restricted number of characters this forces people to shorten their posts and make their lives more fast pace. Instagram, on Instagram you can post photos and videos with a small caption underneath there is no restriction of characters however the caption will be overlooked if it's not short. One form of social media that people used to use a lot was Facebook, Facebook doesn't have a caption restriction you don't have to post a picture or video and you may update your status whenever. However Facebook is no longer used by the modern teenager because of its old-fashioned story-time feel and it is more commonly used by parents and adults.
The perfect form of social media to fully animate what I'm trying to say is Snapchat. Snap chat is a form of social media where you send a picture which asked 10 seconds with some writing and then it's deleted you can now also so have such a messaging which is similar to Facebook messaging but oversaturate in addition your updates like the status update on Facebook would now be a picture then caption and it will go on your “SnapChat story” which again the photo will last around 10 seconds and the story will only be overloaded 24 hours. Overall this is why my animation will need to be faster pace short and gripping otherwise I will lose my audience and they will just click off the video, the message will be overlooked and it will become worthless.
There are some good examples of an animations aimed at people similar to my target audience would be the Disrespect NoBody consent awareness clips and the “Tea is like Consent" video :
P4: CREATE A PRE-PRODUCTION PLAN FOR THE ANIMATION
SCRIPT
I do not have a script as there is no dialogue in the animation.
STORYBOARD
ANIMATION TEST
RISKASSESSMENT
TIME SCALE
I have created a Gantt Chart to illustrate how long it will take me to complete my production.
